MAYOR ÖZCAN'S RAMADAN MESSAGE
President Özcan included the following views in his message: “We are experiencing the joy of reaching the blessed month of Ramadan once again, the sultan of eleven months, whose beginning is mercy, its middle is forgiveness, and its end is liberation from eternal torment. Ramadan is an exceptional period that softens our hearts, unites our souls, and reminds us of the true meaning of sharing. This blessed month is not only a period spent in worship; it is also a special time when social sensitivity gains strength, and mutual assistance and solidarity take center stage in life. This meaningful month, where the most beautiful examples of our faith and culture are displayed, where compassion, mercy, and sustenance are abundant, where hearts rejoice, and our souls are purified, offers us all great opportunities to reflect on our consciences, to share, to increase feelings of unity and togetherness, and to strengthen our human virtues.
We must live the month of Ramadan, a time of unity, togetherness, solidarity, integration, and caring for those in need, in a way that is worthy of its essence, building bridges between hearts and sharing..." And we must make coexistence the dominant principle.
On this occasion, we wish that the blessed month of Ramadan brings health, peace, and prosperity to our country, our nation, and the entire Islamic world; and we pray that this holy month will be a means of peace and brotherhood for humanity.”
