The "Rural Abundance Small Ruminant Livestock Support Project" is being implemented to strengthen production in rural areas, expand family businesses, involve our youth and women more in production, and make pasture-based production more profitable.

**PROJECT'S BASIC APPROACH**
This application does not only aim for an increase in numbers; it prioritizes efficiency, adaptability, and sustainability. Distributions will be planned based on breeding small ruminant breeds suitable for the region, climate, and pasture structure, taking into account the regional breeding realities of our country. The final framework regarding the breeds to be distributed, the distribution regions/provinces, and the application requirements will be determined and announced by HAYGEM.

**INSTITUTIONAL COLLABORATION**
The project will be carried out with the breeding stock guarantee of TİGEM and the financing opportunities of Ziraat Bank. The animals to be distributed within the scope of the project will be sourced from animals raised in TİGEM facilities.

SCOPE AND TIMELINE
- The project implementation is a 3-year program covering the years 2026–2028.
- A total of 150,000 head of small ruminants are planned to be distributed throughout the program.
- The animals to be distributed will be from animals raised in TİGEM (Turkish Agricultural Enterprises) facilities, aged at least 6 months and at most 18 months.
- Each eligible producer will be provided with a total of 100 head of small ruminants, consisting of 95 female + 5 male animals.

WHO CAN APPLY?
- Individuals with fewer animals than the upper limit set for the project, as well as those who are not currently engaged in livestock farming, can apply.
- Women, young people, and professionals (Veterinarians, Agricultural Engineers, Food Engineers) will be given priority.

APPLICATION START DATE AND PROCESS
Applications will begin in April 2026. Following evaluations, animal distribution is planned to begin in the second half of the year.

SUPPORT PROVIDED

The summary of support elements for producers who qualify for the project is as follows:
1. CREDIT SUPPORT (ZIRAAT BANK)

Eligible producers will be able to use a Basic Livestock Loan from Ziraat Bank with up to 100% interest rate reduction. Repayments can be planned with up to 2 years of grace period, followed by a total of 5 or 7 years of repayment options.

2. TARSIM INSURANCE
Small livestock acquired by eligible producers through the project will be insured under TARSIM for one year.

3. MAINTENANCE AND FEEDING SUPPORT
For 12 months starting from the month following the animal delivery; 150 TL per animal, up to a maximum of 15,000 TL per month for a maximum of 100 animals, and a total of 180,000 TL per year will be paid as maintenance and feeding support.

ANNOUNCEMENTS AND OFFICIAL INFORMATION
The provinces/regions where distribution will take place, the breeds suitable for the region, the application procedures and principles, and the evaluation schedule will be announced separately by the relevant units of our Ministry (under the coordination of HAYGEM).
